What’s your vision for your family?

This class series is aimed at the specific needs of single parents and blended families. Five part series following the Conscious Parenting process: Awareness of the Self – Become aware of your feelings and needs, your hot button issues, what inspires you and how it affects family life. Care of the Self – Learn how basic self care is essential to effective parenting. Awareness of the Child – Ages and stages, temperament, learning to read cues and match expectations of the child to their ability. Care of the Child – Strategies and tools for creating optimal growth and learning. Conscious respectful discipline. Creating a warm home.

The gift of a happy childhood lasts a lifetime. Many people worry that our kids are growing up faster and faster, with less carefree happiness, more tantrums, and more commercial influences. In this workshop we’ll come together to learn: Why childhood is so important and what function it serves to overall development. We’ll also take a look at what vital aspects are missing for today’s kids and most importantly, what you can do about it! We’ll explore questions about healthy use of media, the magic of play, conscious respectful discipline and more. This is a fun and empowering workshop for parents, teachers, grandparents and anyone who loves a child. This workshop is offered at a sliding scale donation. No one is turned away for lack of funds.

Open to all who have completed one or more class series. These classes will serve to deepen the learning we’ve already done, give you a chance to connect with other parents and get a dose of inspiration to bring home to your families. Topics covered will range from foundational discipline strategies to creating your family culture. As usual we’ll weave in fun, laughter, connection and creativity into our learning.

This eight class session is based on the book Simplicity Parenting: Using the Extraordinary Power of Less to Raise Calmer, Happier and More Secure Kids by Kim John Payne. Learn how making simple changes to your child’s room, schedule and the information they take in can impact the health and happiness of the whole family.

If these offerings don’t match your schedule any of these classes can be suited to match the needs of small groups as private workshops for groups of 4 or more. Custom workshops are also available, built to suit a range of needs and specific interests. Some previous workshops included a group of teachers who wanted to learn new strategies for working with parents and gaining more cooperation in the classroom. A yoga retreat group wanted to learn heart centered communication techniques for more peace and better health.

Private Sessions and coaching are individualized support and education for parents who would like specific help with an ongoing issue or goal. These sessions and coaching provide one on one support. Parents walk away from a session with specific strategies and tools to inspire the changes they are seeking to bring into their families.

Appointment rates are $100 for individuals, $120 for couples. Financial assistance is available for a limited number of clients in need. Contact Diana for more information.
